Repost: Progress Continues at Route 7 Brewing

Progress continues for Loveless Porter Architect client Route 7 Brewing, soon to open in Ashburn, Virginia, as reported in The Burn:

The new Route 7 Brewing coming to Loudoun County is making major progress and The Burn finally has more details — and some photos — to share about this exciting new project.

Route 7 is located at the Lexington 7 commercial center on the north side of Route 7. That’s right next door to the center with the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, a Sheetz gas station and a Burger King, and the former Oak Health Club, now known as Method Health Club.

It’s been two and a half years since The Burn first reported on Route 7 Brewing — all the way back in December 2021. (See article.)

The operators admit they have hit some delays along the way — including an unexpected traffic accident. Last December, brewing equipment such as fermenters and serving tanks were being delivered from the factory in British Columbia when the truck slipped off the road and crashed into a ditch. The equipment was all badly damaged, so an order for completely new equipment had to be submitted.

The good news is that’s all in the past and the brewing process is getting underway. Route 7 has hired Eric Peterson as its head brewer. Peterson previously worked with House 6 Brewing in Ashburn, and Beltway Brewing before that.
